The Rose Madsen Cottage
Kaipara District Council purchased this property in 2007 to add to community facilities available at within the area of Mangawhai Domain. The council amended the name of the property to "Rose Madsen Cottage" to honour the memory of Rose Madsen, a Mangawhai community stalwart.
This is not part of the Domain, but access is via the Domain and the Domain Committee and Council have co-operated in several ways to make it more accessible and usable by the community. At present the building is leased to Plunket for several purposes and grounds are being used as below.
For enquiries about other possible uses of the site please contact Stephen Soole at Kaipara District Council: Stephen.Soole@kaipara.govt.nz
